Red Dead Redemption 2 features a far more detailed rendition of the old west than the one featured in the first game, with NPCs boasting their own daily lifecycles, a whole bunch of wild animals to hunt, and randomised instances where people in the world will ask for your help. Whether you choose to is entirely up to you. The game will reward your kindness or harshness, creating ramifications depending on your choices.

In addition to the campaign, Red Dead Redemption 2 also touts an incredibly in-depth multiplayer mode. It’s here where you can create and outfit your own player character, exploring the map alongside a host of other players you’ll need to be wary of. Will you abide by the law or choose to rob banks? Anything is possible within Red Dead Redemption 2’s multiplayer.

Fans of the original Red Dead Redemption can rest easy knowing that “Dead Eye” returns for this 2018 sequel, allowing you as Arthur to temporarily slow down time and paint specific points on enemies to create some truly cinematic kills. Just be prepared to manage the mechanic’s dedicated core. Otherwise you might find yourself without the ability to pull off perfect shots.
